Giorgio Rovati is engaged with guitar playing at the age of 9, when he starts taking lessons of classical guitar at private music schools. A few years later he experiences rock and metal music and approaches electric guitar studying by himself. Afterwards, at Lizard Music School in Padua, he completes an electric guitar (Lizard/Casa Ricordi) diploma under Lelio Padovani and Nicola Balliana. In 2004 he takes classes of Sound Theory at Lizard school in Fiesole and later he follows a path to intense music study and to a specialization method for guitar with Alex Stornello. He has attended a number of workshops and clinics held by Carl Verheyen, Dave Hill, Bob Brozman, Michael Mellner, Alex Stornello, Greg Howe, Guthrie Govan and many others. Before entering the Centrica band, he plays with several bands performing pop, rock and metal music.
