Dario was born Jan 3rd, 1984 in Novafeltria (PU), Italy. Started at age 5 with toy drums (the infamous "Walt Disney Mickey Mouse Drumkit" first, then a small red drumkit) by playing to records of Tina Turner, Suzi Quatro, and some Italian stuff. At age 8 achieved his first "real" drumkit, and started attending drum lessons about reading rudiments and basic beats. In summer 1991 he had his first "public show" behind the drumkit.





1994-97 Begins playing in local bands, playing a few gigs with covers from G'n'R, Nirvana, Jimi Hendrix, Deep Purple, Black Sabbath.
1996-01Studies applied rudiments, serious beats, score writing and double bass technique with Paolo Clementi, in Rimini.
1997Joins the band "Opera" and started listening to prog-power-metal-masters Dream Theater, Fates Warning, Elegy, Vanden Plas, Angra, and some others. He begins composing drum parts for the first "Opera" demo and then unreleased full-lenght album "A Flower To Remember".
1998Meets Daniele Liverani, during the Opera recording sessions at Fear Studio in Alfonsine (RA), Italy. They begun playing together in Autumn 1998.
1999Records the instrumental 18-tracks project called "Daily Trauma", to be released 5 years later. Look the discography section for further informations.
2000-03Composes and records the drum parts for the "Genius Rock Opera" trilogy by Daniele Liverani. Records the 12-tracks melodic AOR project "Khymera", by Steve Walsh and Daniele Liverani. Records the song "Meteor" by Daniele Liverani, included in the Jason Becker Tribute album "Warmth in the wilderness vol.2", released by Lion Music.
2002Joins with Daniele Liverani the great 13-years-old guitarist Tommaso Ermolli, and starts composing and recording demos for the "Twinspirits" project.
2003Forms the cover band "Maindream", with Daniele Liverani, Tommy Ermolli, Alberto Rigoni and Pino Katarra. They do gigs in small pubs and parties playing some Van Halen-Extreme-RacerX-MrBig-DaveLeeRoth tunes.
2004The second episode of the Genius Rock Opera is released in May, along with the instrumental album "Daily Trauma" (Liverani).
2005Records Khymera's second release "A new promise", with the new line-up (Tommy Ermolli on guitars and Dennis Ward on vocals), released in December. Records the drum tracks for the album "The Music That Will Heal The World" of Twinspirits. Starts a great collaboration with Oliver Hartmann, playing in his live band.
2006Graduates in Biotechnologies at Alma Mater Studiorum University, Bologna (Italy). Cuts drum tracks for Tommy Ermolli first solo album (TBR) and for the second Hartmann release "Home", to be released on 26th Jan 2007 by Frontiers Records. He plays live with Hartmann at opening gigs for TOTO in Rome, Hanau, Budapest.
2007Records Khymera’s “The Greatest Wonder”, with Dennis Ward singing and playing bass, Tommy Ermolli on guitar and Daniele Liverani on keyboard. Plays some gigs with Hartmann as support act for House of Lords in Germany and Switzerland in February and supporting The Hooters during summer. Records an unplugged live DVD with Hartmann in September. Records the videoclip "Fire" with Twinspirits. Records some tunes for The Mark Blessed project. Plays some songs in a project by John Jeff Touch.
2008Sessions for Twinspirits second release. Joins the project Centrica and records drum tracks for the debut album. Joins the band EmpYrios.
